This course introduces mesh motion and dynamic mesh techniques in OpenFOAM, focusing on simulating moving and deforming geometries using tools like sixDoFMeshMotion, solidBodyMotion, and codedMotion. Through a blend of theory and hands-on 2D examples, participants will learn how to handle remeshing, overset meshes, and mesh deformation for fluid–structure interaction (FSI) and rotating machinery applications. The course combines video lectures, guided exercises, and case study files to help learners explore solver performance and stability through practical simulations.
