This course provides a hands-on introduction to mesh generation for CFD simulations using open-source tools such as Classyblocks, blockMesh, snappyHexMesh, cfMesh, and Gmsh. Participants will learn practical techniques to create, refine, and optimize meshes suitable for various flow problems (only 2D examples are used for illustration). The course combines video lectures, guided exercises, and case study files to enable participants to explore solver performance and stability through practical examples.
